The Jaguar I-PACE is Jaguar's first all-electric vehicle, launched in 2018 as a ground-up design built on a bespoke aluminium architecture. Combining the brand's signature luxury and performance with advanced electric technology, the I-PACE is a sleek, cab-forward SUV that offers instant acceleration — 0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds — and a low centre of gravity for exceptional handling.
Powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery driving two permanent magnet electric motors — one on each axle — the I-PACE produces 400 PS and 696 Nm of torque with all-wheel drive as standard. It offers a real-world range of around 250 miles on a single charge, with 100 kW DC rapid charging capable of adding 127 miles of range in 30 minutes. Regenerative braking allows single-pedal driving in most conditions.
The interior features Jaguar's Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with twin touchscreens, a digital instrument cluster, and a spacious cabin made possible by the flat battery floor. Premium materials, a panoramic roof, and an optional Meridian sound system reinforce its luxury positioning. The I-PACE won an unprecedented triple at the 2019 World Car Awards — World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, and World Green Car.
Beyond private ownership, the I-PACE has been selected by Waymo as the platform for its autonomous ride-hailing fleet, with thousands of modified I-PACE vehicles operating as driverless taxis across cities in the United States. Jaguar production of the I-PACE ended in late 2025, but the model remains significant as the foundation of Jaguar's electric transition and a proven platform for autonomous vehicle technology.
