The Jaguar Mark 2 is a medium sized saloon car built by Jaguar Cars between 1959 and 1967 succeeding the Jaguar Mark 1. The Jaguar Mark 2 had all-round disc brakes. It featured a choice of Jaguar XK inline-six engines including a 2.4 litre variant with twin Solex carburettors and 3.4 litre and 3.8 litre variants featuring twin SU HD6 carburettors. The 3.8 litre engine was similar to the one used in the 3.8 litre Jaguar E-Type.

The Mark 2 was the facelifted version of the previous Jaguar 2.4 and 3.4 which were later known as Jaguar Mark 1 after the Mark 2 was announced in October 1959. The facelift saw changes that included a modern interior and exterior, improved handling and larger windows and a bigger windscreen resulting in better all-round visibilty.

The Mark 2 was a fast and capable saloon exemplifying Jaguar's slogan in the 1960s - "Grace, Space and Pace". The Mark 2 also gained a reputation as a capable car among bank robbers and law enforcers alike. Elegant, swift and affordable, the Mark 2 was generally popular among people of all classes. It featured prominently in the popular television series "Inspector Morse". Eventually, the Mk 2's style and overall layout proved sufficiently popular to provide an inspiration for the modern Jaguar S-Type launched in 1999.
