The Jaguar XF X260 was introduced in 2015 as the second generation of Jaguar's executive saloon, replacing the X250 with a lighter, more advanced design. Built on Jaguar's aluminium-intensive iQ[Al] architecture, the X260 shed up to 190 kg compared to its predecessor while gaining interior space — making it both more agile and more practical.
Engine options span the Ingenium four-cylinder range in both petrol (2.0-litre turbo, up to 300 PS) and diesel (2.0-litre twin-turbo, up to 240 PS) forms, with a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 available in earlier models producing up to 380 PS in the XF S. All models use a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive as standard and optional all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics. A Sportbrake estate variant joined the range in 2017, offering 1,700 litres of load space with the rear seats folded.
Inside, the XF features Jaguar's InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch interactive driver display, and configurable ambient lighting. The signature rotating gear selector and JaguarDrive control with selectable driving modes — Normal, Eco, Dynamic, and Rain/Ice/Snow — are standard across the range.
With a kerb weight of 1,610–1,860 kg and double-wishbone front / integral-link rear suspension, the X260 delivers a blend of sporting handling and long-distance comfort that has defined the XF since its original launch. Production of the XF ended in 2024 as Jaguar transitions to an all-electric lineup.
